TwineCompile 5.5.1 - interface not supported for C++ Builder 11.0

Post by RoiDev »

Hi,
I am using Rad Studio C++Builder 11.0 Alexandria Professional with Mobile.
I downloaded TwineCompile 5.5.1 from the Getit package manager.
I am trying to use TwineCompile but I get the error: "[TwineCompile Fatal] Project builder exception. (Interface not supported)".
I tried to fix it but couldn't. In addition, I am using the CLANG compiler in my project.
Could someone from JomiTech please look into this issue?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Roi.

What updates do you have installed in C++Builder 11? I would recommend installing Update 3, and then installing TwineCompile 5.7 from GetIt.

Hi, thanks for your response.
My RAD Studio 11.0 version is: 28.0.42600.6491
Moreover, I don't see any update in the updates area in the Getit package manager.
Is there another option to make this work?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Roi.

If you can't install the updates, you'll need to downgrade to TwineCompile 5.3 to be able to use it with C++Builder 11.0 (5.5 is for 11.1).

Uninstall TwineCompile, then download 5.3.2 using this link, extract the setup and run it - https://jomitech.com/downloads/TwineCom ... tSetup.zip

Hi jomitech,
thank you for your support.
After your recommendation I was able to update the Rad Studio to version 11.1 .
Now I have another error when I try to compile my project using TwineCopmile 5.5.1.
I get the following errors:
[MSBuild Error] TCTargets110.Targets(605, 3): MSB4064 The "DataAlignment" parameter is not supported by the "TCQueueFileClang" task. Verify the parameter exists on the task, and it is a settable public instance property.
[MSBuild Error] TCTargets110.Targets(509, 5): MSB4063 The "TCQueueFileClang" task could not be initialized with its input parameters.
I downloaded the TwineCompile 5.5.1 from the Getit package manager.
Do I need special version of TwineCompile also for Rad Studio 11.1 ?
Best regards,
Roi.

They must have messed up the versions in GetIt. 11.1 and 11.2 would require 5.4.2, 11.3 can use the latest version (5.7).

Can you update to Update 3, that would give you the latest fixes in the IDE, and you get the latest version of TwineCompile?

Hi,
According to my Rad Studio license, I can only update until 11.1.
Moreover, it is not possible to get an older version of TwineCompile like 5.4.2 through Rad studio 11.1 .
Is there a possibility that you can send me the appropriate installation file for 11.1?
As you helped me with the appropriate installation for Rad Studio 11.0 in our conversation and it worked great!
I need it in order to use your software in my project.
Best regards,
Roi.
