TC on Win7 much more slower than on XP

Hi,
I tested now TwineCompile under Windows 7 x86. There I noticed that although I have 2 Cores more and a SSD in Windows 7 the compilation lasts 10 Minutes more than under XP!
Is there any way to get at least the same reults?
Thank you!
Brgds,
Thorsten

How many threads are you using, and how many files compile at the same time (you can see the files in the compile window)?

On the Windows 7 machine I use 4 Threads and they are all used.
On the Windows XP machine I only use 4 Threads and there the compilation is much more faster with half CPU power?!?

If you're only using 4 threads on the Win 7 machine, and it has two cores more, you're wasting CPU
Up that to 6 threads.
Couple questions:
- What are the processors in the XP and 7 machines?
- What anti-virus/anti-malware software do you use in both machines?
- Are you running inside a VM?
- Is either machine a laptop?

I don't run anything in a vm...
Win7 x86 desktop:
- Phenom 905e (4x2.5GHz)
- SSD SATA3
- 1333MHz DDR3 4GByte
- NOD32
=> Duration: 39 Minutes!
WinXP x86 desktop:
- Core 2 Duo (2x3.16GHz)
- HDD SATA2
- 800 MHz DDR2 3.5GByte
- McAffee
=> Duration: 27 Minutes!
Both Anti-Virus are configured to exclude all files in the folders which will be touched by compiler/linker!

Are there any news why TC is slower under Win7?
Or do I have to contact Embarcadero?

Do you see this difference if you turn TC off?

No without TC I don't notice any difference in speed.
I made some tests and the result is, that with only two threads (I changed this in IDE and run over jtmake) the compilation is 4 minutes faster?!?
So with 4 threads it lasts 39 minutes and with 2 threads it only lasts 34 minutes for compilation. How can that be?
I have a real quad core cpu so no hyperthreading...

What happens if you turn off the AV completely?

What do you mean with AV?
