Ah ok sorry! I thought you search for a test case...

The steps you wrote are exactly the steps to provoque the exception...

Is it possible that madexcept and TC in combination is the error?

No, it won't be madExcept and TC - we actually use madExcept inside TC for error reporting.

Can you post a screenshot of the error that you see? Since I can't reproduce this issue, I'm trying to get all available information on this issue.
