'Compile Messages' window scroll behavior

Post by jwheel »

Hi, is there any place to change the behavior of mouse scrolling in the 'Compile Messages' window? When there are a lot of errors/warnings, I'd prefer the more normal behavior of the selected item staying selected, and the scroll affecting the scrollbar so it moves pretty quickly. Instead, at least as of 12.3 IDE & TwineCompile 5.9, scrolling with the mousewheel moves which item/row is 'selected', losing your place of where you were, and taking a while to scroll very far if there are a lot of messages. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the behavior as of a recent previous version, but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to change this scroll behaviour. We switched to a different control for the messages due to the old control not supporting thousands of messages, and the new control uses a different scrolling behaviour.

We'll take a look and see if there is any way we can adjust this behaviour to match the original behaviour.

Download this file and extract into the TwineCompile installation directory and it should help with this scrolling behaviour issue:
